It feels so good to write after such a long gap. Also, to write from a different corner of the world makes it even more interesting. If you have followed my Instagram feeds, you might know that I am currently in England and I absolutely loving it. I am here for a visit only and I do intend to go back to my country as I got few curious questions if I am here for good but I am just taking a holiday, a break I really needed. I think, we should always take the time out from our busy schedules to understand ourselves and our life, the world around us.
Anyways, I arrived in London two weeks back and luckily I got to witness the hottest summer that London has ever seen in many years. It is said that given the faintest hint of sun Brits will congregate on any area of concrete, grass or pavement. So it is delightful even though I am here at a time when it’s about to leave.
As soon as I landed here, my dad and my best friend had planned so many visits that I had no time to recover from my jet lag zone. Although I have realised that I do not get that heavily affected by the changing time zones. Finally one good thing I can add in my travelogue, as I can be a total snooze fest while on the go. But I love traveling, especially when you get to travel alone, it gives you newer perspectives in life where you can discover so many interesting things. While on my flight I met amazing students from Wales. They were so nice.
Getting on to my adventure, first day was my visit to the Stratford Centre and Queen Elizabeth’s Olympic Park which was both located in the same area which made it easier to traverse and it was so fun. Second day was the visit to the Madame Tussaud, getting to see the waxed statues of some of my favourite celebrities was great but the waiting in the line and the other activities that came in the package was kind of childish. I would really suggest people to go with kids. Overall it was a special day as I got to spend quality time with my daddy.
The third day started off with visits to my relatives who all lived in different parts of England such as Reading, Alder shot, Falmouth, Colindale, Edgware and the list goes on. I am thoroughly enjoying it as I am getting to experience the flavours of different towns and cities of England. The atmosphere, buildings and landscapes are just so beautiful. Also I am a fan of old world English charm so I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to these different areas. Any who, how could I forget to mention my visit to the central areas such as Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Bond Street, Hyde Park and also London Bridge was beautiful. Also, having your best friend by your side makes it the best experience you will ever have.
I have been constantly traveling since my arrival and enjoying every bit of it. The people are so friendly and fashionable too. I get to observe the brit style while walking on the street or trains. It is fascinating. Luckily besides my dad, I had lots of friends and relatives who are all too sweet to accompany me in my travels and it has been super fun to witness the glitzy vibe of the London city as well as the outskirts of London area, so many peaceful little towns of England. I also want to visit the two other countries of Britain, Scotland and Wales. That is definitely in my list for the future.
P.s There are too many pictures as I compiled them all together since I couldn’t blog as I was continuously travelling. Thank you for reading my travel article.
